Resonance is into its sixth year of presenting world class concerts in Sydney, Melbourne and Berlin.

Resonance was founded on the principle of enhancing the small-scale (‘chamber’) music scene in Sydney, creating opportunities for audiences to hear some of the world’s greatest music performed by Australia’s leading singers and instrumentalists.   Resonance concerts are also events which demonstrate that outstanding musical events do not need to be expensive:  our tickets generally cost $25 (full) and $20 (concession).

 

These concerts are deliberately short in duration (one hour), presenting quality rather than quantity. They are held in the early evening or afternoon and are usually followed by complimentary wine receptions in beautiful surroundings.  These give our audiences an opportunity to socialise and meet the artists, and signify that great music is a wonderful way of bringing people together.  The concept of the timings also allows concert-goers time to enjoy dinner afterwards at a reasonable hour. 

 

Music ranges from the Baroque to the present day, and features ‘household name’ composers and works as well as outstanding music which is perhaps not so well-known.  Our artists are all professional instrumentalists and singers with illustrious performing careers.
