The music of master Hungarian pianist and composer Franz Liszt is explored in a thrilling ‘tour de force’, brought to life by pianist Chris Cartner.  From the exquisite tenderness of the D-flat ‘Consolation’, through the devilish drama of the ‘Mephisto Waltz’, and with all the exuberance of the bold and joyful Hungarian Rhapsody no.2, this one-hour programme celebrates some of the best-loved masterpieces of a composer who transformed the world of the piano.
