John is a violinist and Education Coordinator with Orchestra Victoria. As a violinist, John regularly works alongside Australia’s flagship arts companies - Opera Australia, The Australian Ballet, Victorian Opera and The Production Company.

 

John is a founding member of Orchestra Victoria’s “on the mOVe” Education Program - Established in 2003, John has been integral in the development and delivery of this inspiring High School Orchestral Training Program.  

 

In 2008 John developed and delivered an exciting innovative String Quartet Training Program which offers inspirational mentorships to young string players. Student Quartets receive monthly rehearsals by John & other professional musicians. Through the support of local councils/donors, students are offered valuable performance opportunities at Civic and Community events. John teaches and prepares students for all levels of AMEB exams.  His energy focuses on scholarship preparation for High School students, and Tertiary level performance skills for those pursuing further study into music. Thousands of students across Victoria and Australia have witnessed his energy, excitement and enthusiasm.

 

John is a founding member of the Hermitage Trio, and regularly performs with some of Australia’s leading ensembles. Always innovative, John is passionate about string performance and is looking forward with excitement to joining Chris and Sarah in his inaugural Resonance performance.
