Resonance Concerts
Resonance presents its official Melbourne launch with an evening of opera and song performed by leading soprano Emilie Lemasson.
Friday 24th June, 6pm. Only 100 tickets available.
This very special event will take place in the beautiful surroundings of The Yarra Room at Melbourne Town Hall. The one-hour concert will be followed by a complimentary drinks party with opportunities to meet the artists, socialise and enjoy the surrounds of an amazing Victorian salon.
Resonance has a reputation for presenting world-class concerts in fun and informal settings. This launch at the wonderful Melbourne Town Hall promises all this and more.

Emilie Lemasson - soprano
Emilie was born in France, and studied voice and piano from an early age. She completed her tertiary studies as a student of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, gaining a Bachelor of Music and studied two years of a Diploma of Opera. It was at the Conservatorium that she performed in productions of Mozarts' "Cosi fan Tutte" and "Le Nozze di Figaro" as well as Brittens' "A Midsummer Night's Dream", studying under Andrew Dalton and Sharolyn Kimmorley.
Emilie has been the recipient of several Helpmann awards at the Conservatorium and prizes from The City of Sydney Eisteddfod. She currently works as a freelance singer around Sydney and also works with the "Encore Vocal Group" and operatic duo, "Due Voci".
In 2015 Emilie sang as a guest artist for the Bangalow Music Festival as well as singing for the Wagner Society in Sydney. She performed numerous concerts in the Northern Rivers as well as conducting three choirs throughout the year. In 2016 she looks forward to performing concerts with Resonance Concerts and Events, The Byron Music Society, Dynasty Voices and the Joubert Singers. She performed the role of Kate Pinkerton in the Opera Projects production of Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly”, under the direction of Cheryl Barker and also the role of Sister Infermeria in their production of “Suor Angelica”.
Chris Cartner was still a teenager when he was appointed Organ Scholar at Rochester Cathedral in the UK. He went on to graduate in classical piano performance at Trinity College of Music in London, before training under the expert guidance of concert pianist Professor Matthijs Verschoor at the Amsterdam Conservatoire.
After a period as repetiteur with British Youth Opera, Chris became a much sought after musician on the London circuit, embarking on a huge array of different musical projects. Since then he has worked as a solo pianist, accompanist, chamber musician and musical director in various parts of the world, and completed several hundred recital programmes in London and Amsterdam.
Since coming to Australia early in 2008, Chris has been increasingly involved in the arts industry in Sydney, working with most of the nation’s major arts organisations, including Opera Australia, Sydney Philharmonia and Sydney Chamber Choir amongst others, and has a busy diary of concert engagements. He currently also works as Assistant Chorus Master and principal pianist at Sydney Philharmonia.
